STOP FUNDING ISRAEL – STOP THE GENOCIDE – WIN DIVESTMENT

Sat 14th Dec – 1.00-3.00- Friends Meeting House – Upper Goat Lane

Norfolk PSC Branch is holding a 2-hour workshop to develop our strategy and campaign against Israeli investments that are complicit in the ongoing genocide & war crimes in Palestine.

We’re specifically targeting the Norfolk Local Government Pension Fund, administered by Norfolk County Council. Thousands of local government workers are paying into the scheme, whilst others are receiving their pensions from it. Most will not know that some of those investments are in companies supporting the Israeli occupation.

Local Government Unions are supportive and involved. Wins for Divestment in other parts of the country are spurring us on.

Do join us to help with the Action Plan. More info from secretary@norfolkpsc.org.uk

Made in June 2022, the voices of Palestine’s oppressed and colonised speak out in the film. It gives us a window into the continuing struggles of the Palestinian people living under Israeli occupation through a series of interviews with residents of the West Bank. It follows Palestinian journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, grassroots activist Ahed Tamimi, and holocaust survivor Dr. Gabor Maté through their journey in understanding the Israeli and Palestinian conflict from different perspectives.
The Directors, Zaya and Maurizio Benazz, say: ‘The film gives background to the current crisis in Israel/Palestine and brings to light the lives of people we met… Their universally human stories speak of intergenerational pain, trauma and resilience.  We hope they touch your heart, stir compassion and understanding, and give rise to a pursuit for justice. For without justice, peace remains an empty slogan.’
