Materials
- Felt in 3 colours: Green, white and red
- Sewing or embroidery thread in 3 colours: Green, white, and black
- Circular templates in 3 sizes
- Sewing needles
- Sewing pins
- Scissors
- Safety pins
Instructions
Step 1:
Cut the felt into circles in descending sizes:
2 large ones in green, 1 medium one in white, and 1 small one in red, either using your circular templates or freehand.
Cut all 4 circles in half. This will make 2 badges.
Step 2:
Sew the red semicircle onto the white semicircle using black thread. Ideally attach it in such a way that the stitches look like seeds.
Step 3:
Sew the green semicircle onto the back of the white one, using white thread and only sewing through the visible part of the white felt (not through the red!)
Step 4:
Attach a second green semicircle to the back with green thread, covering the white stitches. Sew all along the edge using a blanket stitch.
Step 5:
Attach a safety pin to the back with green thread (or another colour if you prefer!) Be careful not to sew through the front of the badge but feel free to attach it to multiple layers as this will give the badge a more solid feel.
